North Pole Bureau Of Investigations: Case of the Christmas Cookie Mystery

North Pole Bureau Of Investigations: Case of the Christmas Cookie Mystery

What we had to find out when doing this lab is what mixtures were right for the recipe. The first thing that we had to do was to get all of the 6 white powders and 4 tests. We put each of the powders into different little trays. Then we added 4 to 5 drops of water to the first pile. Then 4 to 5 drops of vinegar to the second pile. Next add 4 to 5 drops of iodine to the third pile. Lastly for the heat test place a small amount of powder on a clean piece of aluminum foil. Make the foil into a cup or bowl like shape and hold it with tongs or tweezers. Hold a candle or lighter or match underneath the bowl or cup. After you record your observations for each file and did each test then you should be able to figure out what mixture was the correct one. My answer ended up being sample B, 1, 2, 3, 5.
